Nampula city hosted the Northern Regional Dissemination Workshop on the Food Security and Nutrition Policy and Strategy (PESAN 2024–2030).

Nampula, Mozambique – In the lead-up to World Food Day 2025, Nampula city hosted the Northern Regional Dissemination Workshop on the Food Security and Nutrition Policy and Strategy (PESAN 2024–2030), reaffirming its role as a key hub for advancing Mozambique’s nutrition and food security agenda.

Held from 13 to 14 October under the leadership of the Executive Secretary of SETSAN, the workshop was funded by UNICEF Mozambique, which is supporting the nationwide dissemination of PESAN 2024–2030. The event brought together more than 100 participants from Cabo Delgado, Nampula and Niassa provinces, including district administrators, provincial directors, technical experts and representatives from key sectors such as health, agriculture, education and planning.
